Guiding Principles
The philosophy of Hanley Hall is that chemical dependence is a disease that affects people from all walks of life. Regardless of income or social status, people deserve treatment from this terminal illness. In an era when it is becoming increasingly difficult to receive help, Hanley Hall strives to meet the needs of the working class by making treatment accessible and affordable.
Based in the tradition of the Minnesota Model, chemical dependence is understood to be a brain disease that is primary, predictable, progressive and chronic. If left untreated, this disease leads to total degradation and despair. Our guiding principles are based in the time honored steps and traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, which recognize that a daily practice of lifelong abstinence from all addictive substances is necessary to put this disease in remission.
Through quality treatment and continued sober social support, our clients will have the capacity to return to the community with the ability to improve their level of functioning and quality of life.
The Vision
Clients refer to Hanley Hall as the "Hall of Miracles." Come . . . be a part of the miracle - Your Miracle.
